Q. Can I scan or copy an article from a printed journal in the library and post it on my course page?

Answer

First, double-check if the article is available electronically by searching for it in BobCat's Journals tab.

If the article is not available electronically, you may post a copy to your course page (NYU Classes/Blackboard etc) for a limited amount of time. As an alternative, the library will also place a copy of the article on reserve for your students.

If you wish to use the article repeatedly over many semesters, you should seek permission. For more information, please see our guide to copyright for research, teaching, and publication.
