Question: What file formats should I use for my deposit to UltraViolet?

Answer

Depositors may submit files of any type. That said, in general non-proprietary and open-source file types are considered more stable and are recommended for long-term preservation, because they are software-agnostic, and better documented than closed, proprietary formats.

For further information and recommendations on file formats, consult the Data Services Research Data Management guide on this subject.
