Question: How can I find out if a video is available for streaming and what would be the process for requesting it?

Answer

The media industry places limits on which films are available to libraries in a streaming format. Bobst Library can acquire videos for streaming only if they have been licensed for such use and if they are eligible to be subscribed to or purchased in digital form by an educational institution.

Faculty who need a digital video for course reserve requirements may request it via the course reserves request form. We will research it and then do our best to fulfill the request.

General users who wish to recommend new additions to the library’s collection may use the suggest a purchase form. Be aware, though, that that purchasing for general use is currently suspended and will probably not resume until after September 2020.
