Question: How do I read and interpret financial statements?

Answer

For financial statements appearing in public company documents such as annual reports, 10K filings, etc:

Read the HBS, "How to Read Financial Statements".

For non-profit companies, read GuideStar's "Highlights of IRS Form 990".

You may also find Investopedia's, "12 Things You Need to Know About Financial Statements",  useful for understanding concepts and terms.
