Use of the Lexis Nexis Web Services REST API  (formerly called the Lexis Nexis Web Services Kit or "WSK") is limited to scholars with approved topics and the technical skills (Python and other supported programming environments) required to query the dataset.

Faculty, PhDs, and faculty research assistants are eligible. Masters students working on a thesis and undergraduates working on a Capstone may be eligible pending approval. All other individuals should first consult our Text Data Management sources guide.

Access to Lexis Nexis text data is mediated by Lexis Nexis staff. The timeliness of provisioning and support is dependent upon their current workload. As such, time-sensitive requests for access to the API are strongly discouraged and may not be able to be accommodated.
