Question: Which tool should I use to discover ebooks?

Answer

There is no single place to search all of the ebook content that NYU Libraries provides. It's best to approach the search process with several strategies in mind. You may need to try one or more of these methods to discover an ebook.

Search the Online Catalog BobCat

Almost all of the ebook content that NYU Libraries offers is discoverable in BobCat. BobCat is particularly useful if you know the specific title, author, or ISBN of the book you're looking for.

To limit your results to ebooks and online resources, select "Online resources" under the "Availability" filter.

Search Individual Ebook Collections

Because ebook business models are complicated, it's nearly impossible for NYU Libraries to index all of the content that we access in a single place. Therefore, you may find ebooks that you couldn't discover any other way by searching some of our ebook packages individually. A full list of current our resources that contain ebooks is available in Databases A - Z: Ebook Collections.
