Question: What are the fines for overdue laptops?
Answer
Overdue laptop fines accrue at a rate of $0.30 per minute to a maximum of $40.00 for laptops and $20.00 for each peripheral.
Additionally, the borrower will be fined the replacement cost (up to $2,000.00) for any items that are lost, stolen or damaged.
Laptops not returned within 24 hours of borrowing will be considered lost, and the borrower will be charged the full replacement fee, based on current market value.
