A municipal bond is a security issued by or on behalf of a local authority such as a city or state. S&P, Moody's and Fitch rate municipal bonds.

Bloomberg: USE STGO for state municipal bond ratings and CTGO for city issued bond ratings.

Mergent Bond Reviewer: Offers pricing and a summary information on the issue's covenants and provisions for U.S. corporate and municipal bonds.
Standard & Poor’s NetAdvantage: Search for a state in the search box at the top. In the profile choose Fixed Income, Credit Rating from the tool bar to the left. Click on S&P Global Ratings and scroll down for various issuances and ratings. Other ratings are available.

The SEC provides a basics guide on municipal bonds with links as to where you can locate a particular bond using EMMA. EMMA provides key bond data including ratings by Fitch, KBRA, Moody’s and S&P. EMMA is the official depository for municipal documents since 1990.
