Question: Where do I find definitions of SEC filings and other useful SEC info?

Answer

Congress established the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1934 to enforce the newly-passed Securities Laws, the Division of Corporation Finance assists the Commission in executing its responsibility to oversee corporate disclosure of important information to the investing public.  The organizations website, SEC.gov provides detailed information including forms used for filings, company filings, FAQs, and much more.

Go to the Business Library's Company & Financial Information section for links to useful resources including links to the following suggested resource.

IntelliConnect:  Provides a full suite of information on SEC compliance, enforcement, releases, forms and topic related materials.  Go to the Federal Securities tab.
