Question: How long does document delivery usually take?

NYU Faculty and Doctoral students, as well as users at global sites, are eligible for our document delivery service. These requests, by NYU users for NYU-owned material, are processed within 24 hours, 7 days a week, excluding holidays. After that point, transit time is determined by location and type of material.

Scans should be delivered within 24 hours to all sites. Books requested from Bobst Library for Bobst pickup should be available within 24 hours. Delivery to other New York locations may take 1-2 days, and you should allow 3-5 days for delivery to Abu Dhabi and Shanghai. (Only GRI Fellows are eligible for book delivery to other global sites. Please contact your GRI admin for details.)

Local holiday closures in New York, Abu Dhabi and Shanghai will occasionally impact delivery times.
