Question: Can I bring food or drink into the library?
Answer
Foods and liquids that come into contact with books cause staining and damage. Crumbs and spills can attract rodents and insects, as well as damage computer equipment. Covered drinks and small snacks are permitted in the Library, except at computer workstations and designated areas. Open meals and messy or aromatic foods are permitted only in the snack lounge in Lower Level 1 and the Graduate Student Exchange (grad students only) on the 10th floor. We ask everyone's cooperation in our efforts to preserve the library's collection.
