Question: Where can I find real estate Cap Rates (Capitalization Rates)?

Answer

For major-market US office building cap rates, consult the PwC Real Estate Investor Survey (HD1382.5 .K67), published quarterly, available in print at the Jack Brause Library (NYU Midtown Center, 11 West 42nd Street, Suite 510). The PwC survey is accessible to currently active NYU students, faculty and staff only, and dates back to 2010. Older issues, available back to 1995, were published as the Korpacz Report.

For cap rates for additional property types (residential, retail, industrial), the Situs RERC Real Estate Report (HD251 .R435) is also available in print, published quarterly, at the Jack Brause Library.
