Copyright and intellectual property can be confusing - Digital Scholarship Services can provide information to help you make more informed decisions. To get started contact us or our Scholarly Communications Librarian, April Hathcock (april.hathcock@nyu.edu).

  1. A great resource for copyright questions--both for things you want to use as well as things you want to create--is the NYU Fair Use Listserv, fairuse@nyu.edu. You can also contact me, the Scholarly Communications Librarian, directly. I'd be happy to help you sort out what and how you can use online materials and if and when you need to get permissions.
